  • Punta Blanca (Guía de Isora). Natural environment. Its location protected by mountains creates a microclimate where temperatures don’t usually go below 20 degrees. Waves from two to four meters. Low and medium tides. Usually, the southern sea goes in, especially during the summer. Rock bottom. South winds. Big and variable left and right waves. Strong waves from the northeast. Ideal during the winter.

  • El Conquistador (Playa de las Américas). Considered one of the best on the island. Besides, in Las Américas there is a great surfer’s environment and many surfer’s bars. Quality one to one and a half meters waves. Medium tides. Small waves from the northwest. Ideal during the winter. Beach with showers, parking, restaurant, lifesaver, and bathrooms.

 

  • Las Galletas (Las Galletas). Urban environment. Nice little town, famous for its quietness. Waves from one to three meters. All the tides. Sand and rock bottoms, but mainly rocks. South winds. Variable and tube waves. Strong waves from the south. Ideal during the summer. Beach with showers, parking, restaurant, lifesaver, and bathrooms. In the town, there are three spots to do surfing. El Muelle: low difficulty. Next to the dock, with a peak that breaks in both directions with south strength. La Peraltera: Medium difficulty. Right that breaks near the dock. Tube waves and perfect for body board. La Ballena: an unfrequented beach. Near the La Ballena pool. Medium difficulty. Right that breaks into the rocks.

 

  • El Medano. In the south of the island you have the best place in Tenerife to practice kitesurf and windsurf: El Medano. It is the only place in the island with constant winds, 250 days of the year. It started to become popular at the beginning of the 90’s. Every year in mid-July one of the kitesurf world championship events takes place, as well as the events of the kitesurf Spanish championship.
